Admission requirement for bachelor and master degree
at West University of Timisoara


Applying for studies

1. The candidats are required to fill out some basic application paperwork which will include personal information about theirselves and their high school career. The candidats who would like to apply only for one programme will fill out the application in two copies. The candidats who choose to apply for more than one programme have to add an extra file for each programme.

2. The application is submitted until the deadline from the General Schedual of Admission for bachelor and master degree, in following way:

  • The candidat comes with the application in two copies in room 201 (2nd floor, the West University of Timisoara main building, blvd. Vasile Pârvan, no.4). There the application is checked by the Biroul pentru Românii de Pretutindeni (BRP).
  • The candidats that are not required to pass some admission exam, also can aplly in the same place (room 201, 2nd floor, the West University of Timisoara main building, blvd. Vasile Pârvan, no.4).
  • The candidats who would like to apply for the following programme: Arts and Design, Sports, Music and Theater, or Teology must submit the application at the faculty adress, and find out information about the admission exam (dates, content, appointments etc. ), after the application is checked by Biroul pentru Români de Pretutindeni (BRP).
  • 3. The file with all the required documents could be sent by the candidats until the deadline from the General Schedual of Admission, at the following adress: romani.pretutindeni@e-uvt.ro.

    4. Between 8th – 19th of July 2019, the Faculty of Letters, History and Teology (situated in West University of Timisoara building, blvd. Vasile Pârvan, no.4) provides daily, except Saturday and Sunday, certificate for the knowledge of Romanian Language (for the candidats who need this type of certification).

    Confirmation of the results

    1. After the last day of admission process, every faculties will send the intermediate results of addmision to BRP. The results will be posted on BRP's and faculties' web sites.
    2. The candidats that were accepted have to confirm their place at the programme, during the Confirmation Schedual.
    3. The confirmation will be sent by email at the adress: romani.pretutindeni@e-uvt.ro or submitted at BRP's office (room 201, 2nd floor, West University of Timisoara main building, blvd. Vasile Pârvan, no.4). The file in original will be submitted in the „Welcome week at West University of Timisoara”, 23.09.2019 – 29.09.2019.
    4. The candidats who would like to reject their admission file from the West University of Timisoara have to send an email to the adress: romani.pretutindeni@e-uvt.ro.

    N.B.: If the candidats was accepted on tuition fee, after the confirmation of all candidats, have the chance to get a tuition fee-free.
    The candidats who do not confirm their place at the programme until the deadline of Confirmation Schedual, lose the place at the programme.

    Entries are made every day, in the aforementioned intervals, between 09:00 and 14:00 (Romanian time) except for Saturdays and Sundays.

    The admission file for bachelor degree will include the following documents (two copies for one option + for more than one option an extra file for each programme):

    • Application form for bachelor degree; (here);
    • Birth certificate – copy and authorised translation (where is the case) in Romanian language;
    • Identity card – copy;
    • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the beginning of the study programme – copy after the first 3 pages;
    • Marriage certificate - copy and authorised translation (where is the case);
    • Medical certificate (released in Romania or in the native country ) - original and authorised translation (where is the case);
    • Baccalaureate Diploma or equivalent / graduate certificate for the current year - authorised copies and translations (where applicable) in Romanian language;
    • The paper with all the marks obtained during highschool – copy and authorised translation (where is the case) in Romanian language;
    For the candidats who graduated: bachelor degree / master, paper with all the marks – copy and authorised translation (where is the case) in Romanian language;
    For the Romanian citizens with a foreign residence:(CRDS) an authorised declaration that they do not own a Romanian Identity card.
    For the Romanians out of the boarders, a declaration that regards the Romanian cultural identity, authorised by diplomatic representations of Romania in the native country of candidat (except Republic of Moldova).
    For the cadidats who did not follow the studies in Romanian language, but know the Romanian language: a certificate which provides the knowledge of Romanian language (minimum B1);
    • Recommendation of hierarchs or agreement of religious leaders - for candidates who would like to attend a theological programme admitted to theological higher education
    • Form with personal data (will be fulfilled with the help of secretary).
    The admission file for master degree will include the following documents (two copies for one option + for more than one option an extra file for each programme):
