The future students of the West University of Timișoara have already started the admission process, via online platform specially created to make registration as easy as possible – admitareonline.uvt.ro. More than a thousand candidates have already created their account on this platform
online admission.
The educational offer of UVT for the academic year 2024-2025 is composed of 81 undergraduate programs and 102 master's degree programsin 35 fields of study. Available seats to the university study programs within UVT for this year's admission process are availableHERE. UVT puts it out to tender approximately 6200 places in undergraduate university study programs, including 2850 financed from the state budgetor approximately 4500 places in master's degree programsover 1500 of these being financed from the state budget.
Some of these places are intended for specific categories of candidates, as follows:
- 65 places financed from the state budget, for the cycle of university studies license, for graduating candidates from rural high schools;
- 20 places financed from the state budget for the cycle of university studies licenseor NO places at the cycle of university studies of MASTERS, for candidates of Roma ethnicity;
- 25 places each financed from the state budget, both at the cycle of university studies license, as well as at the cycle of university studies of MASTERS, for candidates belonging to national minorities or coming from placement centers / from the social protection system and those with special educational requirements or disabilities.
At the same time, for Romanian candidates from everywhere, UVT offers this year 250 places financed from the state budget for the cycle of university studies license (150 scholarship places and 100 non-scholarship places) and NO places financed from the state budget for the cycle of university studies MASTERS (70 scholarship places and 39 non-scholarship places).
As every year, the Western University of Timișoara appreciates the students who have achieved excellent results in various national and international competitions and Olympiads during their high school studies and has prepared special admission conditions and benefit packages for those who choose to pursue university studies at UVT, so:
- students who, during their high school studies, obtained distinctions (1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes) at international school olympiads recognized by the Ministry of Education and/or 1st prize at national olympiads, financed by the Ministry of Education - they benefit from the right to enroll in the programs of undergraduate university studies of UVT without the support of the admission competition, on places financed from the state budget;
- students who, during their high school studies, obtained distinctions at the school Olympiads and/or at other national or international competitions - they are free to register for the admission process and will be admitted based on the special admission conditions established by each faculty's own regulations;
- students who have the status of promotion leaders within the UVT partner high schools or who obtained an average of 10 in the baccalaureate exam (on the basis of the invitation letter signed by the rector of the university, a letter that must accompany the candidate's file) - they benefit from free registration at the admission process and can benefit from the right to enroll, without supporting the admissions competition, for places financed from the state budget, to undergraduate university study programs from any faculty of UVT, if they fall within the provisions of the previous subsection.
Students with outstanding academic results obtained during their high school studies will soon receive letters of invitation to the West University of Timișoara, based on which they can access a special package of benefits. Until the first part of July 2024, according to the calendars established by the regulations of the UVT faculties regarding the organization and conduct of the admission process, candidates will be able to fill in information and upload documents to the application platform. The registration process takes place online, and the documents must be presented by the candidates to the admission centers organized by UVT, for their certification according to the original, by scanning by the representatives of the institution. All candidates will have to present all the documents necessary for the admission process, in accordance with the provisions of the regulations on the organization and conduct of the admission process developed by the UVT faculties, in original or legalized copies, until at least one day before the date of displaying the lists of candidates admitted, according to the calendar established by the regulations of the UVT faculties regarding the organization and conduct of the admission process, at the collection points of the admission documents from the UVT headquarters or from the county admission centers organized by the UVT, for their scanning and certification according to the original by the UVT operators . Candidates who do not fulfill this provision will not be included in the ranking of the admission process.
