At UVT, the academic year opens with cultural events open to the entire community.
The West University of Timișoara conducts, during 23-29 September, "Welcome to UVT" accommodation week, a special program of events and projects that aims to facilitate the transition from the pre-university environment to the university environment of those over 4300 students enrolled in the first year of the bachelor's degree cycle.
In addition to activities intended exclusively for students, UVT organizes a series of cultural-artistic events open to the general public, with free entry, on the stage in the courtyard behind the university headquarters (next to the basketball court), as follows:
- Monday, September 23, 2024, 20:00 p.m - Welcome Party & Silent Party with Dalla & Chris Setfree & Kuky;
- Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 20:00 p.m. – Sonatic & White Mahala concert;
- Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 20:15 p.m. – Concert Paperjam & Răzvan Florescu Quartet;
- Thursday, September 26, 2024, 19:30 p.m. – Paul Tihan & Andra Andriucă concert and Rat Man;
- Saturday, September 28, 2024, 19:00 p.m. – Party Flight Festival with DJ Sniper and Dalla.
On September 27, starting at 17:30 p.m., the Univibes by UVT festival will take place in the premises of the UVT headquarters (bd. Vasile Pârvan no. 4), which is open to all interested participants, with free entry. Three stages, a mix of musical genres, electric, acoustic, rock, hip-hop, DnB or electro rhythms, workshops, games & activities, food & drinks areas, all of this welcomes students and the public from Timisoara, for a start of the academic year as to the book.
