West University of Timisoara (UVT) in the international rankings
West University of Timișoara (UVT) is an institution with a strong international visibility, being present in most rankings (rankings) globally relevant in the field of higher education and scientific research and occupying the first places in the rankings of Romanian universities.
Each international ranking is built according to its own, various indicators, most of which have as a majority the criteria related to scientific research (visibility of research conducted by university teachers, number of citations of publications of university researchers, etc.).
UVT has made significant progress in terms of international visibility in recent years, the number of international rankings of universities in which our institution is present increasing from 9 presences in international rankings in 2016, to 21 nominations in international rankings at the end of 2024The international rankings in which UVT is present in 2024 are general or specific:

The West University of Timisoara remains at the top of the 2024 edition of the University Metaranking, managing to rank on eighth position nationally with a score of 10,7 points obtained following the evaluation process. The results of the analyses positioned UVT among the top 8 universities in Romania with a score of 11 points, further placing our university on first position among the 3 ranked universities in Timisoara (UVT, UPT, UMFVBT).
