    We mention that our university program is accredited by ARACIS (Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education).

    The study program is carried out according to the model of full-time education (with a number of 180 transferable credits, 180 ECTS), following the same subjects, in three years of studies grouped into two semesters, the academic activity being carried out especially in online mode, using electronic platforms such as Moodle, Zoom, etc., students benefiting from training in this regard at the beginning of the first year, but also during the studies.

    The involvement of students in scientific activities, research projects or implementation of social projects is a constant of our department.

    We carry out a constant dialogue with the students by involving the representatives of the year in the academic organizational steps, inviting them to the department meetings, based especially on the experience of the tutors of each year.

    Representative bachelor's theses have the chance to be published in a journal of the department to be indexed in BDI (international databases).

    Regarding career opportunities, ID graduates enjoy the same professional rights as full-time graduates. Therefore I can ...

    • benefit from continuing studies through master's and doctoral training in social work, sociology, psychology and more;
    • initiate and complete social projects involving fundraising (national and / or international) for all existing vulnerable social categories;
    • capitalizes on the diploma obtained abroad.

    Description of the exam test (s)

    Bachelor's degree program Social work - form of distance education (the education plan can be consulted at https://fsp.uvt.ro/programe-de-licenta-asistenta-sociala-zi/).

    Admission criteria:

    1. UVT language and reasoning skills assessment test (50% of the admission average);
    2. Overall average at the baccalaureate exam (50% of the admission mark).

                            In the case of equal environments, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied:

    1. The grade obtained at the written baccalaureate exam in Romanian Language and Literature;
    2. The mark obtained in the written test from the subject of choice, depending on the profile / specialization of the high school, within the baccalaureate exam.
    Details regarding the admission steps

      Test of assessment of language skills and reasoning (50% of the average admission);
      Overall average at the baccalaureate exam (50% of the entrance mark).

      (1) Candidates for undergraduate university studies who obtained, during their high school studies, distinctions (I, II, III prizes) at international school Olympiads recognized by the Ministry of Education and/or first prize at national Olympiads, financed by the Ministry of Education, benefit of the right to register, without supporting the admissions competition, for places financed from the budget.
      (2) Candidates who, during their high school studies, obtained distinctions (10,00nd, XNUMXrd prize) at national school Olympiads financed by the Ministry of Education will have their admission average for undergraduate university study programs within the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology equal to the average XNUMX.
      (3) The provisions of paragraph (2) also apply to the winners of the following contests:
      - The national competition "Education for the 3st century", XNUMXst place, in both sections, obtained in the last XNUMX years;
      - Olympiad of altruism – 2024 edition, first, second and third places.

    List of required documents
    1. The documents required for the application file for undergraduate university study programs within the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology are the following:
      1. ID card;
      2. Birth certificate;
      3. Marriage certificate - if appropriate;
      4. Baccalaureate diploma or equivalent;
        • Candidates who passed the baccalaureate exam in the sessions corresponding to the 2023-2024 school year can upload to the admission platform and present at the collection points the documents necessary for the admission process from the UVT offices and from the county admission centers organized by the UVT, for the admission session immediately following the session in which they passed the baccalaureate exam, instead of the baccalaureate diploma, the certificate issued by the pre-university education unit in the original or a legalized copy, which mentions the general average from the baccalaureate exam, the grades obtained in the tests taken at this exam, the validity period and the fact that the diploma has not been issued.
      5. Medical certificate issued by the family doctor, not older than 90 days from the date of its presentation at the document collection office, certifying whether the candidate is fit to enroll in university studies and, if applicable, the conditions chronic conditions suffered by the candidate (neuropsychiatric, psycho-pathological, pulmonary, dermato-venereal, disability (type, degree), etc.). Specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, etc.) or any special educational requirements will be attested by a diagnostic certificate;
      6. Certificate certifying completion of another undergraduate university study program (completed or not at the time of submitting the file), in which the funding regime in which each year of studies was completed (with funding from the state budget/with a fee) , if it is/was carried out at a state higher education institution in Romania) and, if applicable, the years and semesters of studies in which the student benefited from the scholarship, respectively its type - if appropriate.
      7. Certificate of English language skills - donate for applicants from undergraduate degree programs taught in English Psychology – Cognitive Sciences (in English). They recognize each other the following certificates:
        • International certificates (Cambridge: Proficiency A, B or C, Advanced A, B or C, First A, B or C; IELTS: minimum 6 points; TOEFL minimum 60 points);
        • Certificate of studies in English for candidates who have completed programs in English;
        • Distinctions at national or international English language Olympiads, certified by the Ministry of Education (I, II and III awards);
        • Candidates who do not hold an international certificate of linguistic competence in English will take the LIT Test organized by the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology of the Western University of Timișoara, on the day scheduled according to the admission process calendar. The admission test will be held in English, and the result will be equalized for those candidates who have also applied to other programs within the faculty.

    The results of the admission process

    BACHELOR FINAL RESULTS - JULY 2024:

    Accommodation policy

    The allocation of places in the dormitory is made according to the Regulation of accommodation in UVT dormitories. In order to obtain a place in the dormitory, it is necessary to submit an application together with the proving documents for the social case, respectively for extracurricular activities, if applicable. Volunteer activities, participation in workshops and trainings, as well as participation in scientific conferences or research are rewarded with additional points.

    International study / practice mobility opportunities

    Due to the particularities/profile of our ID students (various ages, employment in full or part-time jobs, in the country or abroad, particularities and personal-family problems that require a flexible study program, we do not benefit from ERASMUS+ agreements in the form of id.
    However, ID students have benefited from international scholarships - offered through the involvement of the department - on the occasion of participating in some international conferences.
    Regarding the practice, we mention that we recognize any practice carried out at accredited institutions in the country or abroad, involving those interested and the involvement of projects in this regard.

    Other facilities / opportunities for students

    Students of the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities with tradition organized within the faculty such as: student conferences, workshops, sports activities (SocioVelo), charitable and volunteer activities.
    For students with disabilities, who have submitted the necessary supporting documents, adaptations of the entrance exam can be made according to the type and severity of the disability. These include alternative ways of reading the text (large print, Braille, reader, screen reader), extra time for solving tasks, etc.

    College dorms

    The dormitories in which the students of the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology are assigned are Dormitory 13 and Dormitory 16 from the Student Complex and the UVT Dormitory on Cameliei Street. Seats vary from 2 to 5 students per room. UVT dormitories are buildings owned or operated by UVT, which provide living and study conditions for students. The West University of Timișoara has 10 dormitories, all equipped with adequate furniture, double glazed windows, video surveillance system, internet, cable TV, reading rooms, washing machines, kitchens.
