According to the "Regulation of accommodation in UVT dormitories".
The Faculty of Physics is one of the elite faculties of the West University of Timișoara, it offers a high quality education, characterized by flexibility and interdisciplinarity, being a reference center of intellectual and scientific approaches for Timișoara and Romania. Combining the 72-year tradition with modern methods, at the Faculty of Physics the students' knowledge is perfected through research at international standards and through the variety of courses taught.
Going through successive transformations, the Faculty of Physics has established its current model, being an important center of education, science and culture. Its main role is to train specialists in the field Physics (researchers, physicists, teachers) and after the creation of study programs Computer physicsor Medical physics and specialists with double specialization who are appreciated in the future as specializations of the future, corresponding to current and future needs, for the educational process, the economic environment and research.
For those who want to explore in depth the topics that interest them to practice research, higher education or become self-employed researchers, to provide high-level consulting there are then doctoral programs lasting 3 years. The wide range of fields in which our graduates have found a job shows that our faculty offers its graduates a basic training that can be easily used in various professions, such as:
- researchers in laboratories and research institutes in the country and abroad;
- physicists in hospitals and medical laboratories;
- specialists within the companies operating in the fields: IT, electronics, energy, aerospace and telecommunications, from the country and abroad;
- teachers in schools, high schools and universities in the country, Europe and America;
- specialists in security and intelligence agencies (private and state);
- specialists in banking and financial forecasting.
LICENSE
(1) The documents required for the enrollment file for the undergraduate degree programs within the Faculty of Physics are the following:
(2) Candidates who are Romanian citizens or from Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation who have completed high school studies outside Romania must present, in addition to the above documents, the document of equivalence / recognition of studies issued by National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED). The necessary documents and the procedure for the equivalence of studies carried out outside Romania are mentioned in Annex 1 of this regulation.
(3) In order to be admitted to the undergraduate study programs with teaching in Romanian, foreign citizens who do not present study certificates issued by educational units / institutions in Romania or abroad, with teaching in Romanian, have the obligation to present a certificate of competence linguistics for the Romanian language issued by institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education.
(4) Necessary documents for candidates applying for places for Romanian citizens everywhere[1] are listed in Annex 2 to this Regulation.
(5) Applicants eligible for exemption from the registration fee, in accordance with Article 21 of this Regulation, will upload on the admission platform also the supporting documents for the category in which they fall.
(6) Candidates with outstanding results at national or international Olympics and competitions can upload the relevant supporting documents on the admission platform.
[1] Romanians everywhere = persons who freely assume the Romanian cultural identity, persons of Romanian origin and those belonging to the Romanian linguistic and cultural vein who live outside the borders of Romania, regardless of the ethnonym used, as well as Romanian emigrants, whether they have kept or not Romanian citizenship, their descendants and Romanian citizens with permanent residence or residence abroad (who do not hold a Romanian identity card).
MASTERS

Ground floor access ramp.
(1) Participants in the National Physics Competition "Constantin Sălceanu" who obtain a minimum of 60% of the score of the competition tests can benefit from equating the score obtained with the N=10 value from the admission average calculation formula.
(2) Candidates who have achieved recognized performances at the National or International Physics Olympiads, in national, regional competitions (by groups of countries), as well as holders of Diplomas of Merit awarded by the Faculty of Physics specifying that the holders benefit from advantages at the entrance exam, will be equivalent in the admission contest with N = 10 from the formula for calculating the admission average.
(3) Students who obtained distinctions during their high school studies at school Olympiads and/or at other national or international competitions, including students who obtained mention, first, second and third prizes at the "Constantin Sălceanu" National Physics Competition organized by the Faculty of Physics of the Western University of Timișoara, are exempt from the registration fee and the registration fee.
