    The general objective of the master's degree program: 

    Acquisition by students of professional and transversal competencies that contribute to their training as competitive specialists in the field of legal sciences in general and in the field of business law in particular.

    The objectives and the skills profile are developed in accordance with the needs identified on the labor market and with the national qualifications framework, they are presented synthetically below and detailed in the subject sheets of the curriculum.

    The specific objectives of the master's degree program:

    1. Explanation and interpretation of the rules and procedures specific to institutions, operations, instruments and contracts related to the field of business law;
    2. Knowledge of the institutional and functional characteristics of the institutions involved in the field of business law;
    3. Elaboration and evaluation of contracts specific to the study area of ​​business law;
    4. Solving some practical cases involving institutions specific to business law;
    5. Understanding the importance of compliance with the rules incident to the field of business law by the institutions involved and the other participants in the legal relations specific to this field.

      The expected learning outcomes of the Business Law master's degree program are:

      a) Knowledge:

      C1. Knowledge, understanding and appropriate use of the legal language of business law;

      C2. Knowledge, understanding and appropriate use of business law concepts, theories, paradigms and methodologies;

      C3. Knowledge, understanding and appropriate use of the concepts, theories, paradigms and methodologies specific to each specialized discipline and the complementary ones;

      C4. Knowledge, understanding and appropriate use of Romanian legislation, European Union legislation and international legal instruments relevant to business law;

      C5. Knowledge of the rules regarding the drafting of a specific legal document (introductory request, meeting notes and conclusions before a court or arbitration court, commercial contract, legal opinion, memorandum, specialized analysis, address to an authority, complaint to an authority).

      C6. Knowledge of judicial and extrajudicial procedures.

      b) Skills:

      A1. Applying the necessary knowledge in gathering data and information related to a specific legal issue;

      A2. The use of the legislation in force in the analysis of concrete legal situations;  

      A3. The use of the legislation in force in the correct framing from a legal point of view of the analyzed issue;

      A4. Communication skills in order to document and draft legal actions, and the ability to manage such proceedings.

      A5. The ability to draft a specific legal document (introductory request, meeting notes and conclusions before a court or arbitration court, commercial contract, legal opinion, memorandum, specialized analysis, address to an authority, complaint to an authority);

      A6. Critical and constructive reflection on theoretical and jurisprudential aspects embodied in studies, legislative proposals, comparative research.

      c) Responsibility and autonomy:

      R1. Managing and carrying out professional tasks efficiently and responsibly, in compliance with the deontological rules specific to the field of activity;

      R2. Implementation and compliance with specific professional standards and periodic self-evaluation of specific performances;

      R3. The effective use of communication resources and sources of information and assisted professional training, both in Romanian and in a foreign language, in compliance with the legislation in force regarding copyright, the protection of personal data and the right to the image of individuals.

    Description of the exam test (s)

    Enrollment in the competition for admission to university master's studies in a specific field can be done regardless of the field in which the bachelor's degree was acquired, provided that a minimum of 240 ECTS credit points have been obtained in that field.

    Admission to master's degree studies at the Faculty of Law is by competition, regardless of the form of education in which they are organized, based on the tests established by this regulation, in order to test knowledge and cognitive abilities. The knowledge specific to the field of study is verified by written and / or oral tests based on a bibliography containing specialized works.

    (1) The admission contest for the places financed from the state budget consists of a theoretical and practical exam type interview, having as bibliography:

    For the master's degree program Business law: Stanciu D. Carpenaru "Romanian Commercial Law Treaty" ed. VI updated, The Legal Universe, Bucharest, 2019 (topic: Companies; Contracts).

    (2) For the places financed from the state budget, the classification of the candidates takes place based on the score obtained at the admission contest - interview, 1-10 points, held on 14.09.2023, according to the schedule available online.

    (3) Candidates who opt exclusively for paid places do not take the entrance exam. They are classified according to available places, according to the criterion of the average obtained at the bachelor's exam.

    (4) The ranking and division of the candidates on the places financed from the state budget is done according to the score obtained, and the display of the provisional results will be made until 15.09.2023.

    (5) In cases where two or more candidates have obtained an equal score, their distinction will be made on the basis of the general average of the years of study, and if this criterion is not sufficient, the average obtained in the final exam will be taken into account. license.

    Details regarding the admission steps

      (1) The minimum overall grade point average for admission to master's degree programs organized by UVT cannot be lower than 6,00 (six). The general admission average is the equivalent of the average obtained in the final exam of the undergraduate university studies.
      (2) For the places financed from the state budget, the classification of the candidates is made on the basis of the score obtained following the admission contest - interview type, held on 14.09.2023, according to the schedule available on www.drept.uvt.ro.
      (3) Candidates who opt exclusively for paid places will not take the entrance exam. They are classified according to the available places, according to the average obtained at the final exam of the undergraduate studies.

      Exemption from the registration fee: − students who have qualified in the finals of international competitions with a legal theme and students who have occupied the I-III places in the last 5 years in the scientific tests within the Hexagon Law Faculties competition.

    4. The bachelor's degree or equivalent and the diploma supplement, or certificate of completion of undergraduate studies and transcript, for candidates graduating from undergraduate studies in the current year; UVT graduates of the undergraduate studies of the current year do not have to upload the certificate of graduation of the undergraduate studies and the transcript on the admission platform in order to enroll for master's studies in the same year, the results of the final exam of the undergraduate studies being taken over in the candidate's file directly by the admission commissions of the UVT faculties;
    5. Medical certificate issued by the family doctor, not older than 90 days from the date of its presentation at the document collection office, certifying whether the candidate is fit to enroll in university studies and, if applicable, the conditions chronic conditions suffered by the candidate (neuropsychiatric, psycho-pathological, pulmonary, dermato-venereal, disability (type, degree), etc.). Specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, etc.) or any special educational requirements will be attested by a diagnostic certificate;
    6. Certificate certifying completion of another master's university study program (completed or not at the time of submitting the file), in which the funding regime in which each year of studies was completed (with funding from the state budget/with a fee) , if it is/was carried out at a state higher education institution in Romania) – if appropriate.
    7. For study programs with teaching in an internationally spoken language, candidates can upload supporting documents to attest knowledge of the language of instruction, being relevant only those documents attesting knowledge of the respective language at minimum level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages .
