Description of the exam test (s)
Depending on the options expressed by the candidate, the admission test consists of at least two written tests.
Admission test for Romanian language and literature (language A)
The written exam to test knowledge of the Romanian language and literature (Romanian language – language skills evaluation test; Romanian literature – essay that will include the analysis and interpretation of a literary text at first glance) – example in LIT Admission Test Patterns –.

The candidate who has chosen different fields, but study programs that have the same language of study in their structure or the same type of admission test, will take the admission test provided for in these regulations only once
The time allocated to the written knowledge verification tests - the diagnostic test of linguistic competence in a foreign language, the test of linguistic competence in Romanian and the interpretation of a literary text, the diagnostic test of specialized knowledge and the grid test to verify knowledge in the field of theology - is 60 minutes. Admission test patterns at LIT, as well as the technical and organizational details for taking the tests will be described in separate documents, which will be accessible both on the faculty's website www.lit.uvt.ro, as well as on the site www.admitere.uvt.ro.
The candidate has the possibility to opt either for the presentation of the exam tests or for the equivalence of the international language proficiency certificate, in accordance with the grid mentioned below. In the case of the option for equivalence, the candidate has the obligation to upload a copy of the language proficiency certificate to the registration platform. Submission of the copy entails the equivalence of the certificate, as follows:
Details regarding the admission steps
1. The minimum overall average for admission to the undergraduate degree programs organized by UVT may not be less than 6,00 (six), provided that none of the marks obtained in the competition tests is less than 5,00, XNUMX (five).
(2) The general admission average is calculated to two decimal places, without rounding, according to the following formula:

● 80% of the marks from the two written tests – the diagnostic test of linguistic competence in foreign languages (or the test of linguistic competence in Romanian and the analysis and interpretation of a literary text) / the diagnostic test of specialized knowledge (in Romanian) – in equal proportion, 40% + 40%.
● 20% general average from the baccalaureate exam.
For candidates who have obtained international certificates of language proficiency, the equivalences mentioned in the description of the examination tests are possible upon their request.
(3) The classification of the candidates is made in the descending order of the averages obtained at the admission competition and within the limits of the places approved for each university study program.
(4) The general average or the general scores obtained by the candidates in the admission competition are valid for establishing the classification order only within the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, according to the present regulation.
(5) The order of classification resulting from the admission competition will also be used for the distribution of places financed from the state budget, these going to the best-ranked eligible candidates for each bachelor's degree program. Admission to the cycle of university studies is done strictly in descending order of the admission averages obtained by the candidates, depending on the candidates' options and within the limit of the number of places for which the competition is organized. The number of places financed from the budget cannot be exceeded.
Criteria for separating candidates with equal backgrounds:
Candidates with equal averages ranked last are divided according to the following criteria established by the Faculty Council:
● the grade from the diagnostic test of linguistic competence in foreign languages/ the diagnostic test of specialized knowledge (in Romanian);
● the grade obtained in the baccalaureate exam in the discipline Romanian Language and Literature;
● the grade obtained in the baccalaureate exam in History or Geography (for candidates from the human profile), respectively Mathematics or Physics (for candidates from the real profile).
(6) In the calculation of the admission average for Romanian candidates from everywhere to the cycle of undergraduate university studies, the general average obtained in the baccalaureate exam will be taken into account exclusively. The classification of candidates will be done in descending order of the general averages obtained in the baccalaureate exam, depending on the candidates' options and within the limit of the number of places provided for this category of candidates.
Tie-breaking criteria for Romanian candidates from everywhere with equal averages:
The initial separation of Romanian candidates from everywhere ranked in the last place(s) financed from the state budget with a scholarship/without a scholarship who have equal admission averages is done according to the following criteria provided in paragraph 5 of this article:
● the grade obtained in the baccalaureate exam in the discipline Romanian Language and Literature;
● the grade obtained in the baccalaureate exam in History or Geography (for candidates from the human profile), respectively Mathematics or Physics (for candidates from the real profile).
For cases in which several candidates ranked in the last place(s) financed from the state budget with scholarship/without scholarship have equal admission averages, the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology establishes the following additional criteria for dividing the candidates:
● the grade obtained in the baccalaureate exam in the subject Mother tongue;
● the grade obtained in the baccalaureate exam in a relevant discipline or related to the field of study for which you are applying (e.g. foreign language).
(1) Candidates who obtained distinctions (XNUMXst, XNUMXnd, XNUMXrd prizes) at the international school olympiads during their high school studies, as well as the XNUMXst prize at the national olympiads financed by the Ministry of Education, will be admitted directly to places financed from the state budget, without supporting the admissions competition to the bachelor's degree programs offered by the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology.
(2) Candidates who have the status of promotion leaders within UVT partner high schools or who obtained an average of 10 in the baccalaureate exam (on the basis of the letter of invitation signed by the rector of the university, a letter that must accompany the candidate's file submitted online) benefit from the average 10 (ten) at the admission competition, if it falls within the provisions of the previous subsection.
(3) The winning candidates of the national competitions organized by the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology (I, II, III prizes) will benefit from the 10 (ten) average upon admission to university study programs that have in their structure the specialization mentioned on the diploma , according to the special conditions provided in the Regulations accessible here: https://lit.uvt.ro/preuniversitar/.
(4) Graduates with a diploma from some high schools in the countries where the language chosen by the candidate for enrollment is spoken, benefit from a grade of 10 in the respective language of study.
List of required documents
Candidates will have to submit all the documents required for the admission process in original or in a legalized copy at the collection points of the admission documents from the UVT headquarters or from the county admission centers organized by UVT, for scanning and their certification according to the original by UVT operators.

Candidates who do not meet the provisions of this paragraph will not be included in the ranking of the admission process.
After the end of the enrollment period, the options, their order and others information from the file registered on the online admission platform cannot be changed.
Documents required for enrollment in the admission process
(1) The documents necessary for the registration file at the university degree programs within the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology are as follows:
1. Identity card / bulletin;
2. Birth certificate;
3. Marriage certificate - if applicable;
4. Baccalaureate diploma or equivalent;
- Candidates who passed the baccalaureate exam in the sessions corresponding to the 2023-2024 school year can upload to the admission platform and present at the collection points the documents necessary for the admission process from the UVT offices and from the county admission centers organized by the UVT, for the admission session immediately following the session in which they passed the baccalaureate exam, instead of the baccalaureate diploma, the certificate issued by the pre-university education unit in the original or a legalized copy, which mentions the general average from the baccalaureate exam, the grades obtained in the tests taken at this exam, the validity period and the fact that the diploma has not been issued.
5. Medical certificate issued by the family doctor, not older than 90 days from the date of its presentation at the document collection office, attesting whether the candidate is fit to enroll in university studies and, if applicable, , chronic conditions from which the candidate suffers (neuropsychiatric, psycho-pathological, pulmonary, dermato-venereal, disability (type, degree), etc.). Specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, etc.) or any special educational requirements will be attested by a diagnostic certificate;
6. Certificate certifying completion of another undergraduate university study program (completed or not at the time of submitting the file), in which the funding regime in which each year of studies was completed (with funding from the state budget/ with fee, if it is/was carried out at a state higher education institution in Romania) and, if applicable, the years and semesters of studies in which the student benefited from the scholarship, respectively its type - if applicable.
7. Evidence for candidates who have obtained an international diploma of language proficiency (DSD, ÖSD, Cambridge, TOEFL, DALF, DELE, telc, Goethe), an award at the international or national phase of school olympiads or recognized national/international competitions or organized by the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology within the UVT. (2) Candidates who are Romanian citizens or from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation, as well as British citizens and their family members, as beneficiaries of the Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the Union European and from the European Community of Atomic Energy 2019/C 384 I/01, who have performed high school outside Romania must present, in addition to the above documents, the document of equivalence/recognition of the studies issued by the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence. Diplomas (CNRED). In the case of recognition documents issued online by the specialized directions within the Ministry of Education, they are charged in electronic format on the admission platform by the candidate, within the term established by registration by their own regulation regarding the organization and conduct of the admission process at the level of each Faculties, and does not require certification according to the original by UVT operators. The necessary documents and the procedure for the equivalence of the studies carried out outside Romania are mentioned in Annex 1 of this Regulation.
(3) For admission to university degree programs taught in the Romanian language, foreign citizens who do not present study documents issued by educational units/institutions in Romania or abroad, taught in the Romanian language, are required to present a certificate of linguistic competence for the Romanian language issued by institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education.
(4) The necessary documents for candidates applying for places intended for Romanian citizens everywhere are mentioned in Annex 2 of the Regulations for admission to undergraduate studies.
(5) Candidates eligible to be exempted from the registration fee, according to article 21 of the regulationi, they will also upload the supporting documents for the category they belong to on the admission platform.
(6) Candidates with special results at the Olympics and national or international competitions can load the supporting documents on the admission platform.
