Literacy in primary education – challenges and solutions
R1. Describes how to develop a personalized learning plan based on the results of the diagnostic assessment of the literacy level;
R2. Describes appropriate learning strategies and activities for developing specific literacy skills;
R3. Argues the need to use a certain learning activity to accelerate the development of specific literacy skills;
R4. Explains the appropriateness of assessment tools for students in the classroom;
R5. Describes the protocol for applying the assessment tools;
R6. Performs the assessment of students' literacy level following the assessment protocol (using the appropriate tools, correctly managing the time allocated to the assessment, correctly completing the assessment forms).
R7. Design challenging, achievable goals to implement personalized learning plans for students who are lagging behind in the classroom, consistent with diagnostic assessment findings;
R8. Designs appropriate learning strategies and activities to accelerate the development of specific literacy skills, in accordance with the findings of the diagnostic assessment;
R9. Designs appropriate learning materials to accelerate the development of specific literacy skills, in accordance with the findings of the diagnostic assessment;
R10. Designs differentiated learning activities for the literacy progress of each student in the classroom;
R11. Carry out differentiated learning activities as designed, adjusting them where appropriate, to promptly respond to students' learning needs;
R12. Carry out appropriate learning activities to accelerate the development of specific literacy skills in students who are lagging behind;
R13. Record and process the data obtained during the assessment of the literacy level;
R14. Interprets the data obtained during the assessment both at the level of the individual student and at the level of the group of students.
R15. Adequately manages relationships within the student group during the process of facilitating learning;
R16. Uses the professional journal as a way of documenting and monitoring the impact of the new didactic processes of literacy development;
R17. Reflect on the classroom impact of new strategies and approaches learned;
R18. Exchange ideas with fellow primary school teachers and other education professionals;
R19. Read articles relevant to literacy development at primary level from pedagogy and didactic magazines;
R20. They examine their own beliefs about how literacy skills develop in students from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
Admission to the postgraduate study program is based on an application and registration file on the admitereonline.uvt.ro platform, within the limit of the announced places.
This postgraduate study program, Literacy in primary education – challenges and solutions, can be attended by teaching staff active in primary education, employed as teachers, teachers, teachers for primary education and itinerant and support teachers for primary education.

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
· Registration sheet / supplement to the bachelor's degree;
· Certificate attesting to the performance of professional activity in pre-university/university education (if applicable).

Tuition fee payment deadline*: 26.11.2025.
*Titular teachers in pre-university and university education participating in postgraduate study programs organized by UVT will benefit from a discount of 40% of tuition fee, based on a supporting certificate issued by the educational unit/institution to which they are assigned.
Organization by modules, in blended format (both online and face-to-face):
Module I: What is literacy? 12 hours course + 12 hours seminar: 8 hours/week (will be communicated 2 weeks before the start of the courses)
