Knowledge:
- developing knowledge about antisocial behaviors and personality disorders that facilitate the manifestation of these behaviors;
- developing knowledge about the complex assessment of trauma and supporting the person in the healing process;
- knowledge of theoretical approaches in current research and European practice in the field of forensic psychology;
- the development of knowledge related to the elaboration of a research approach in the field of forensic psychology.
Abilities
Abilities:
- assessment, prognosis and intervention in the case of people who exhibit antisocial behavior and their victims;
- assessment of problematic, prognostic behaviors and problem-solving in the judicial field;
- managing situations of interaction with people with a high level of aggression;
- critical and problem-solving thinking that can be applied in a variety of areas.
Responsibility and autonomy
Responsibility and autonomy:
- observance of ethical and deontological norms;
- demonstrating objectivity in dealing with people in conflict with the law and empathy and support for victims of crime;
- promoting pro-social behaviors and individual social responsibility;
- taking responsibility for the steps taken by the psychologist in the judicial field.

Research design and data analysis in a judicial context;
Psychosocial analysis: deviance, marginalization, addiction and exclusion;
Legal bases / foundations of forensic psychology - introduction to law;
Psychology of the offender and the victim;
Psychological aspects of the deprivation of liberty environment;
Mental health and clinical evaluation in a judicial context;
Behavior analysis in a judicial context: simulated behavior;
Victims and post-traumatic stress - analysis and intervention;
Sentences in the community: parole, probation, social reintegration and supervision;
Counseling, therapy and intervention in a judicial context;
Psychopathology and delinquent potential;
Making judicial reports - guilt and prognosis of crime;
Specialized practice I - Penitentiary;
Specialty Practice II - Police and Tribunal;
Completion of the graduation thesis.

Admission criteria
In the program of postgraduate studies of training and continuous development Forensic psychology - assessment and intervention university graduates with a bachelor's degree can participate in Psychology.
Target group of the postgraduate program
University graduates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field of Psychology and graduates of master's degree studies in the fields of Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology.
Documents required for registration
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
- Registration sheet / supplement to the bachelor's degree;
- Birth certificate;
- Marriage certificate (if applicable);
- ID card.
