Arts of theater performance (module I art of theater actor / module II art of actor for musical theater)

The objectives and skills profile are developed in accordance with the needs identified in the labor market and with the national qualifications framework. Students will be able to complete the training through practical collaborations in theatrical institutions: the National Theater of Timisoara, the German State Theater Timisoara, the Hungarian State Theater "Csiky Gergely" Timisoara, the Theater for Children and Youth "Merlin" Timisoara, as well as the profile institutions from the west of the country.

Learning outcomes:

a) Knowledge:

1. Advanced knowledge of theoretical and practical elements in the field of acting, culture and theater education, as well as in the field of theater teaching applicable to secondary and high school education, based on a critical understanding of the theories and principles underlying the areas mentioned;
2. Good knowledge of the specifics of the great universal dramatic systems, as well as of the evolution of the universal theater in time, of the relations between the public and the creators of the performing arts.

b) Skills:

1. Training at a higher level the practical and theoretical skills necessary for the acting profession;
2. Ability to think theatrically;
3. Assuming the principle of organic unity between mental and physical;
4. Acquiring the principle of physicalization as a foundation of stage communication;
5. Good use of scenic means of expression;
6. Applying the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge and transferring it in a real professional context, through the conscious, autonomous and creative application of what has been learned, based on critical and constructive reflection;
7. Self-control and innovation in solving practical problems, focused on acting and theatrical education in middle and high school education institutions, as well as solving organizational and coordination problems.

c) Responsibility and autonomy:

1. Good coordination between thought and action on stage and good integration in the theatrical performance; coordinating simple and complex artistic projects, by establishing, taking over and assuming the responsibilities in making the decisions that are required for their successful realization;
2. Teamwork, through the correct management of relationships with colleagues and superiors;
3. Concern for lifelong learning, in conditions of autonomy and independence, in order to improve their professional skills.

Professional skills:
CP1. Proper use of basic concepts and knowledge, necessary for understanding and
interpretation of contemporary ways of expression in theater and film.
CP2. Selection, clarification and construction of methods / techniques necessary for the creative process
for the forms of performing arts, specific to performance, choreographic theater, theater
physical, contemporary repertoire and stand-up theater.

CP3. The use of the actor's technique in the construction of the film role and the knowledge of the technical
artistic, specific to the process of filmmaking.

CP4. Acquisition and nuanced execution of vocal procedures and techniques specific to the performer of
musical.
CP5. Understanding and correctly applying the concepts specific to performance, anthropology
theatrical and film, contemporary theatrical forms and the specifics of theatrical pedagogy as well
and the knowledge and capacity for synthesis and theoretical analysis of the research process and
experimentation in the theater laboratory.

Transversal skills:
CT1. Applying rigorous, efficient and responsible work strategies, punctuality and
personal responsibility for the result, based on the principles, rules and values ​​of the code
deontological.
