Admission methodology: mixed

The specialist knowledge verification exam is an oral test

  • The average is obtained based on:

(a) the grade in the examination to verify specialized knowledge (weight 10%), the minimum grade in the oral test being 5;

(b) the general average from the license exam (weight 50%) ;

(c) the general average of the years of study (weight 40%).

 

Separation criteria:

  1. The average number of years of study at the bachelor's level (for candidates who have completed several bachelor's degree programs, the admission average of the last completed program is taken into account);
  2. The overall average of the last year of undergraduate university studies;
  3. The period of volunteering in the social field, demonstrated with a volunteering contract. (if appropriate).

 

Oral exam:

The entrance exam will take the form of an oral test based on the topic and the bibliography. Candidates will draw tickets from the topic provided and will have to briefly present the main theoretical points associated with that topic. The oral test aims at the candidate's ability to synthesize information in a coherent speech, the use of specialized language, the motivation to complete the master's degree program for which he is taking the test, and, if applicable, the ability to bring up concrete examples of the exam subject. The entrance exam is conducted individually, with each candidate separately, and is completed with a grade. The results of the oral exam cannot be contested.

List of required documents
  1. (1) The documents required for the application file for the master's degree programs within the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology are the following:
    1. ID card;
    2. Birth certificate – for UVT graduates of undergraduate university studies from the current year, the document is not mandatory, it can be taken from the existing file for the cycle of university undergraduate studies;
    3. Marriage certificate - if appropriate;
    4. Bachelor's degree or diploma equivalent to it, accompanied by the supplement to the diploma, or certificate of completion of undergraduate university studies, accompanied by the transcript, for candidates who graduated from undergraduate university studies in the current year; UVT graduates of undergraduate studies in the current year do not need to upload the certificate of completion of undergraduate studies and the transcript on the admission platform in order to apply for master's studies in the same year, the results of the final examination of undergraduate studies , respectively the average of the years of undergraduate university studies, being taken over in the candidate's file directly by the admission committees of the UVT faculties;
    5. Medical certificate issued by the family doctor, not older than 90 days from the date of its presentation at the document collection office, certifying whether the candidate is fit to enroll in university studies and, if applicable, the conditions chronic conditions suffered by the candidate (neuropsychiatric, psycho-pathological, pulmonary, dermato-venereal, disability (type, degree), etc.). Specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, etc.) or any special educational requirements will be attested by a diagnostic certificate;
    6. Certificate certifying completion of another master's university study program (completed or not at the time of submission of the file), in which the funding regime in which each year of studies was completed (with funding from the state budget/with a fee) , if it is/was carried out at a state higher education institution in Romania) and, if applicable, the years and semesters of studies in which the student benefited from the scholarship, respectively its type.

    (2) Candidates who are Romanian citizens or from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation, as well as British citizens and members of their families, as beneficiaries of Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community 2019/C 384 I/01, who completed their undergraduate studies outside of Romania, must present, in addition to the above documents, the equivalency/recognition document issued by National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED). In the case of the recognition documents issued online by the specialized departments within the Ministry of Education, they are uploaded in electronic format on the admission platform by the candidate, within the term established for registration by the own regulation regarding the organization and conduct of the admission process at the level of each faculties, and does not require certification according to the original by UVT operators. The necessary documents and the procedure for equating studies conducted outside Romania are mentioned in Annex 1 of this regulation.

    (3) In order to be admitted to the master's degree programs with teaching in Romanian, foreign citizens who do not present study certificates issued by educational units / institutions in Romania or abroad, with teaching in Romanian, have the obligation to present a certificate of competence linguistics for the Romanian language issued by institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education.

    (4) Necessary documents for candidates applying for places for Romanian citizens everywhere[1] are listed in Annex 2 to this Regulation.

    (5) Applicants eligible for exemption from the registration fee, in accordance with Article 20 of this Regulation, will upload on the admission platform also the supporting documents for the category in which they fall.

    [1] Romanians everywhere = persons who freely assume the Romanian cultural identity, persons of Romanian origin and those belonging to the Romanian linguistic and cultural vein who live outside the borders of Romania, regardless of the ethnonym used, as well as Romanian emigrants, whether they have kept or not Romanian citizenship, their descendants and Romanian citizens with permanent residence or residence abroad (who do not hold a Romanian identity card).
