The stylistics of musical interpretation

The main objective of the master's degree program "stylistics of musical interpretation" is to train competent specialists by providing theoretical and practical information within an academic curriculum and course sheets that ensure and enable complex specialization in the field of Musical Interpretation. In carrying out the mission, the emphasis falls on individual study, musical interpretation activity and scientific research, capitalizing on the training obtained by supporting numerous instrumental, vocal or conducting recitals and/or concerts.
Focused on the student, the development of practical skills is an essential objective of the master's program. Students will be able to complete their training through practical collaborations within musical institutions: the Romanian National Opera in Timișoara, the "Ion Vidu" National College of Art in Timișoara and the Banatul Philharmonic in Timișoara. In this sense, the Faculty of Music within UVT concluded cooperation agreements with these partners.
Within this master's program, through the curriculum and the content of the course sheets, the aim is to connect the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the rigors existing in the field as adequately as possible. In this sense, the teaching staff who teach in the master's program "Musical Interpretation Stylistics" demonstrate a high level of preparation, especially in the field of teaching at the university level. Periodically, at the level of the Music - Acting department, meetings are held in which teaching methodology is debated, new teaching techniques are highlighted and disseminated, including new methods related to the improvement of electronic equipment, technology
the information.
The objectives regarding the scientific research activity take into account the following aspects:
attracting and training master's students in research activity. The Master's degree program "Musical Performance Stylistics" has a research plan that is part of the strategic research plan of the Music - Acting Department of the Faculty of Music and which corresponds to the field of Master's studies in Musical Performance Stylistics, focusing on strengthening theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding scientific research work in the field of music.

(intervals, rhyming formulas, dynamics, agogic, etc.) and their transposition into practice

its integration into a coherent interpretative conception, making connections with diachronically historical, aesthetic, stylistic elements, etc.
the ability to interpret classical music at a high level of mastery2
as a soloist, accompanist, conductor, member of professional chamber, symphonic or opera ensembles;
competence in designing and supporting music programs within
radio and TV shows and shows;
the ability to train and lead musical groups at a professional level;
the ability to develop study materials and learning methods in the musical specialty branches;
the ability to collect, valorize, systematize and process folklore;

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

a) Knowledge
- According to the European Qualifications Framework (European Qualifications
Framework – EQF), the learning outcomes related to qualification level 7, corresponding to university master’s studies, presuppose very specialized knowledge and their critical awareness, some of them being at the vanguard of the level of knowledge in a field of work or study, as a basis for original thinking and/or research:
● knowledge and mastery at a performing level of the superior technique of the studied instrument/voice/conductor;
● in-depth knowledge and mastery of the solo instrumental, chamber and orchestral/vocal solo, vocal/chamber and choral ensemble repertoire;
● in-depth knowledge of the issues related to musical expression and interpretation;
● knowledge of the constituent elements and means of achieving different styles
music, as well as their particular characteristics;
● getting to know different cultures through stage interaction;
b) Skills
- According to the European Qualifications Framework (European Qualifications
Framework – EQF), the learning outcomes related to qualification level 7, corresponding to university master’s studies, assume specialized skills for solving research and/or innovation problems, for developing new knowledge and procedures and for integrating knowledge from different fields:
● examine issues of local, global and cultural importance
● establish positive interactions with people of different national, ethnic, religious, social, cultural or gender backgrounds;
● to play through musical creations, a well-defined theme, involving in this sense also
interdisciplinarity with other arts or sciences;
● to analyze in depth – formally and interpretatively – some great musical works
complexity;
● to concretely apply the acquired theoretical notions, in the specific repertoire.
● to properly use the technical-expressive means in the interpretation of the repertoire
approached;
● interpret at a higher technical level a representative selection of the genre's solo repertoire, in an original own vision.
● to express his own interpretative personality, in public support of the approached repertoire.

To integrate without difficulty, in a vocal ensemble, chamber ensemble/ensemble
orchestral/choral ensemble respecting the score exactly, both from a melodic, harmonic and stylistic-interpretive point of view.
● To write musical chronicles at a professional level;
● to write complex musicological works;
● to make complex musical arrangements: scores for soloists, choirs and different musical groups (classical, jazz or popular orchestras)2
● to design and moderate musical programs in performances and broadcasts
