#Admission 2023 – After a successful admission session, the West University of Timișoara is waiting for new candidates this autumn

West University of Timișoara (UVT) managed to attract, also in 2023, a considerable number of aspirants to university studies, eager to become UVT students. The 11 faculties within UVT have aroused the interest of more than 7500 candidates for the bachelor's degree cycle and over 2100 candidates for the master's degree cycle, up from the previous year.

Because we want to attract the best young people to UVT, for the second consecutive year, the admission process for each bachelor's and master's degree program offered by UVT involved taking an admission test - either to test the knowledge / skills related to the chosen field of study and cognitive abilities, or in the form of an ability assessment test linguistic and reasoning. Thus, as a result of this selection process, UVT enrolled 4,5% more students than at the same stage of the previous academic year in the cycle of undergraduate studies, and 16,8% more students in the cycle of university studies master's degree.

UVT also sent invitations with personalized study offers high school graduates, who achieved outstanding results during their studies – they passed the baccalaureate exam with a grade of 10, obtained the status of promotion heads or obtained distinctions at national and international Olympiads. We are glad that over 70 of candidates with such performances they have chosen to continue their academic course at our university starting this fall.

The most "sought after" bachelor's degree programs this year, in terms of both the number of places financed from the state budget and the tuition capacity, were: Psychology (8,02 candidates / place financed from the state budget; 2,12 candidates / place), Economic informatics (5,42 candidates / place financed from the state budget; 1,63 candidates / place) and Informatics (4,22 candidates / place financed from the state budget; 2,26 candidates / place). At the same time, some of the newly established study programs attracted a considerable number of candidates - English Language and Literature – Modern Languages ​​and Literatures (Russian/Serbian/Japanese) (4,71 candidates / place financed from the state budget), European and international law (2,50 candidates / place).

For the admission session in September, those 79 undergraduate programs and 92 master's degree programs, will be added to them 2 new undergraduate degree programs from areas of interest for future students – Applied Forensic Sciences (unique program at the national level) and Artificial Intelligence (in English) and 2 new master's degree programs from the field of visual arts – Game art (in English) and Ecclesiastical Art and Restoration
