    The general objective of the study program 

    The main objective of this master's university study program is the specialization of people who are interested in practicing in the field of taxation. This specialization is achieved by involving the students in an academic research activity, which will allow them in the future to solve some practical problems, imposed by the specifics of work in the taxation field.

    The objectives and skills profile are developed in accordance with the needs identified on the labor market and with the national framework of qualifications are presented synthetically below and detailed in the subject sheets of the education plan.

    The specific objectives of the study program:

    After completing this master's degree program Tax law, the graduates must reach a level of training higher than that obtained as a result of the licensing in a certain field of science, a level that would make them able to carry out - from the positions of a professional - a specific work in the tax field. In this sense, an important role in the training of students is played by the law courses (especially public law) offered to them. The training of students within this master's program also aims to equip them with the ability to subsequently pursue doctoral studies in public law (especially in tax law, financial law, European Union tax law, international tax law), to draw up scientifically relevant and valuable doctoral theses.

      Expected learning outcomes of the Master's degree program: 

      a) Knowledge:

      C1. Knowledge, understanding and proper use of specialized legal language;
      C2. Knowledge, understanding and appropriate use of concepts, theories, paradigms and methodologies in the field of tax law;
      C3. Knowledge, understanding and appropriate use of concepts, theories of paradigms and methodologies specific to each discipline and complementary ones;
      C4. Specialized knowledge, some of which represents the vanguard, in the field of tax law, as a basis for original thinking and/or research;
      C5. Critical awareness of knowledge in the field of tax law and knowledge on the border between tax law, tax litigation, accounting law.

      b) Skills:

      A1. Applying the necessary knowledge in collecting data and information on a specific legal issue;
      A2. Use of the legislation in force in the analysis of concrete legal situations;
      A3. The use of the legislation in force in the correct framing from the legal point of view of the analyzed problem;
      A4. Communication skills in order to document and draft legal actions, and the ability to manage such proceedings.
      A5. Specialized skills for solving research and/or innovation problems, for developing new knowledge and procedures and for integrating knowledge from different fields: tax law, tax litigation, accounting law.

      c) Responsibility and autonomy:

      R1. The management and transformation of complex work or research situations, the application of new strategic, interdisciplinary approaches relevant to the field of tax law;
      R2. Implementation and compliance with specific professional standards and periodic self-evaluation of specific performances; assuming responsibility for contributing to professional knowledge and practice and/or for reviewing the strategic performance of work and/or research teams with an impact in the field of tax law;
      R3. Efficient use of communication resources and sources of information and assisted professional training, both in Romanian and in a foreign language in compliance with current legislation on copyright, protection of personal data and the right to image of individuals.

      First semester: General theory of tax law, Accounting law, Taxation of companies, International tax law, Specialized practice, Research ethics, Protection of rights taxpayers and the fiscal procedure.

      Semester II: Tax law of European Union, Value tax added, Taxation of natural persons, Fiscal litigation, Elaboration of the dissertation, Principles of application of Union law European in the matter of business.

    Description of the exam test (s)

    Candidates for master's degree programs that have only paid places do not take the entrance exam. They are classified according to available places, according to the criterion of the average obtained at the bachelor's exam.

    Enrollment in the competition for admission to university master's studies in a specific field can be done regardless of the field in which the bachelor's degree was acquired, provided that a minimum of 240 ECTS credits have been obtained in that field.

    Details regarding the admission steps

      The minimum general average for admission to the master's degree programs organized by UVT cannot be lower than 6,00 (six).
      Candidates are classified in the available places, according to the criterion of the average obtained at the bachelor's exam.

    List of required documents
    1. ID card;
    2. Birth certificate – for UVT graduates of undergraduate university studies from the current year, the document is not mandatory, it can be taken from the existing file for the cycle of university undergraduate studies;
    3. Marriage certificate - if appropriate;
    4. Bachelor's degree or diploma equivalent to it, accompanied by the supplement to the diploma, or certificate of completion of undergraduate university studies, accompanied by the transcript, for candidates who graduated from undergraduate university studies in the current year; UVT graduates of undergraduate studies in the current year do not need to upload the certificate of completion of undergraduate studies and the transcript on the admission platform in order to apply for master's studies in the same year, the results of the final examination of undergraduate studies , respectively the average of the years of undergraduate university studies, being taken over in the candidate's file directly by the admission committees of the UVT faculties;
    5. Medical certificate issued by the family doctor, not older than 90 days from the date of its presentation at the document collection office, certifying whether the candidate is fit to enroll in university studies and, if applicable, the conditions chronic conditions suffered by the candidate (neuropsychiatric, psycho-pathological, pulmonary, dermato-venereal, disability (type, degree), etc.). Specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, etc.) or any special educational requirements will be attested by a diagnostic certificate;
    6. Certificate certifying completion of another master's university study program (completed or not at the time of submission of the file), in which the funding regime in which each year of studies was completed (with funding from the state budget/with a fee) , if it is/was carried out at a state higher education institution in Romania) and, if applicable, the years and semesters of studies in which the student benefited from the scholarship, respectively its type - if appropriate.
    7. For study programs with teaching in an internationally spoken language, candidates can upload supporting documents to attest knowledge of the language of instruction, being relevant only those documents attesting knowledge of the respective language at minimum level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages .
