Accommodation policy
According to the "Regulation of accommodation in UVT dormitories".
(1) Admission to master's degree studies at the Faculty of Physics is done by competitive examination, regardless of the form of education in which they are organized, based on the tests established by regulation, in order to evaluate the skills specific to the field of study based on a bibliography including specialized works.
(2) Admission to the master's degree programs in Romanian at the Faculty of Physics is done by competition and has two components: an admission exam consisting of the analysis of the application file by a commission appointed in accordance with the provisions of article 22 of the regulation, which is noted according to art. 15, para. (2), and an oral interview-type test to verify specialist knowledge marked with pass/fail, based on the bibliography presented below.
(3) Admission to the master's degree programs in English at the Faculty of Physics is done by competition based on an entrance exam that consists of:
- an analysis of the registration file by a commission appointed in accordance with the provisions of article 22 of the regulation, which is noted according to art. 15, para. (2);
- an interview-type oral test to verify specialized knowledge marked with accepted/rejected, based on the bibliography presented below.
- a certificate of language proficiency, obtained following a language proficiency test. This test is eliminatory, marked with admitted / rejected. Candidates who present certificates of language proficiency recognized by this Regulation or who present certificates of study issued by educational institutions in Romania or abroad, with teaching in that language, will be duly equivalent to the language proficiency test by the admission commission from faculty level.
The selective bibliography for the interview-type oral test for the verification of specialized knowledge
(1) The minimum general average of admission to the master's degree programs organized by UVT may not be less than 6,00 (six).
(2) The general average for admission is equal to the average obtained in the final exam of the undergraduate university studies.
(3) Ranking is done in descending order of averages obtained at the admission test and within the limits of approved places for each university study program.
(4) The general average or the general scores obtained by candidates in the admission competition are valid for establishing the ranking only within the Faculty of Physics, according to this regulation.
(5) The ranking resulting from the admissions competition will also be used for the distribution of places financed by study grants, which will go to the best ranked eligible candidates for each master's university study program.
(6) In the event of a tie between two or more candidates with an average equal to the last place allocated to both the places financed from the state budget and the places with a fee, without exceeding the established maximum schooling capacity, the distinction will be made according to the average of the years of undergraduate studies (MA), and if the equality persists, depending on the grade in the test of assessment of basic and specialized knowledge from the final exam of undergraduate studies.
(1) The documents required for the enrollment file for the master's degree programs within the Faculty of Physics are the following:
(2) Candidates who are Romanian citizens or from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation, as well as British citizens and members of their families, as beneficiaries of Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community 2019/C 384 I/01, who completed their undergraduate studies outside of Romania, must present, in addition to the above documents, the equivalency/recognition document issued by National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED). In the case of the recognition documents issued online by the specialized departments within the Ministry of Education, they are uploaded in electronic format on the admission platform by the candidate, within the term established for registration by the own regulation regarding the organization and conduct of the admission process at the level of each faculties, and does not require certification according to the original by UVT operators. The necessary documents and the procedure for equating studies conducted outside Romania are mentioned in Annex 1 of this regulation.
(3) In order to be admitted to the master's degree programs with teaching in Romanian, foreign citizens who do not present study certificates issued by educational units / institutions in Romania or abroad, with teaching in Romanian, have the obligation to present a certificate of competence linguistics for the Romanian language issued by institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education.
(4) Necessary documents for candidates applying for places for Romanian citizens everywhere[1] are listed in Annex 2 to this Regulation.
(5) Applicants eligible for exemption from the registration fee, in accordance with Article 20 of this Regulation, will upload on the admission platform also the supporting documents for the category in which they fall.
(6) For study programs with teaching in an internationally spoken language, candidates can upload supporting documents to attest knowledge of the language of instruction, being relevant only those documents attesting knowledge of the respective language at minimum level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages .
